About the Author:
Harav Gershon Chein (1886 – 1978) was a distinguished Torah scholar who served as a mashgiach at Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim in Lubavitch. He later served as the rabbi of Oleksandriya, Ukraine, where he also headed the local Tomchei Temimim. After moving to Eretz Yisroel, he became a member of the Rabbinical Court in Haifa, and went on to serve as the first rabbi of Shikun Chabad in Jerusalem, as well as a member of the Chabad Rabbinical Court of Eretz HaKodesh.
