For sixth grader Shevy Kappel, who is always on the lookout for some fun to spice up her day, being a member of "the carpool clan” means excitement, mishaps, and lots of adventure nearly every single morning! Of course, things would be a lot calmer and more predictable if Mr.Stepanov, their driver, would still be able to drive them to school in his old station wagon. But when his car breaks down and Mr. Stepanov finds himself out of a job, Shevy knows it’s up to her to step forward, maneuver past the speed bumps in her way, and try to save the day…
