About this Book
Two great men each had a dream. Could they help each other make them come true?
Rabbi Abraham Zacuto was an astronomer who helped explorers find new lands. Christopher Columbus wanted to uncover a sea route to India. Using Rabbi Zacuto's great inventions, he was able to continue his travels and discover America.
During Spain's Age of Exploration, the Jews were in great danger. If they didn't convert or leave the country, they would lose their lives. Maybe Columbus would discover a safe place where the Jewish people could live in.
The Star Keeper is a fascinating account about a monumental time period in Jewish history, complete with illustrations, documents, and maps to help young readers understand and relate to a man who studied the stars.
