They weren’t allowed to learn Torah together, nor were they permitted to gather for any sort of religious ceremony. Those who were caught breaking the law were deported to Siberia.
In our story, we will meet our heroes during the hardest times of the Communist era. We will marvel at their Mesirus Nefesh and stand in awe of their inner strength, as they stay true to Torah and Yiddishkeit despite the odds.
